Alkaline Shakes/Smoothies: Veggie Power Smoothie
This smoothie is so healthy and powerful, it gives you energy for the whole day! You can enjoy it for breakfast, lunch, or even dinner, basically anytime you need a power snack.
It is full of chlorophyll (great for your blood!) and concentrated nutrition – avocados are rich in potassium, B-Vitamins and Vitamin E and K.
Cucumber is an alkaline classic, and lemon and ice cool the body (great for hot days).
Spinach, well you know Popeye right? Parsley is a good source of vitamin c and has lots of antioxidants. And celery is great for losing weight as it provides low-calorie fiber for your alkaline diet.
Blend everything until thick and smooth.
Tip: Prepare this alkaline smoothie recipe together with your kids and let them drink it afterwards!
For a little sweetness use Stevia or organic apple or agave syrup. Add alkaline water if desired.
