Alkaline Salad Recipes: Italian Salad
Always consider the following when preparing an Alkaline Salad:
- Always use fresh vegetables,
- Use cold pressed extra virgin olive oil, and
- lemon or lime juice instead of vinegar.
- Choose your favorite fresh herbs and spices for seasoning.
Wash salad and cut in medium-sized pieces. Dice the peppers, cut tomatoes in halves, and the bell pepper, olives and leek into fine stripes. Put all ingredients in a big salad bowl.
Prepare the salad dressing:
Put all ingredients for the alkaline dressing in a blender and mix until all ingredients are well emulsified. Season again if desired. (If you prefer a thicker dressing, you can also add 1 tbsp. of flaxseeds before blending.)
Finally, pour the dressing over the salad and toss well. Enjoy your healthy alkaline salad!
