Alkaline Side Dishes/Snacks: Avocado-Tomato-Salsa with Potatoes
This super delicious alkaline starter recipe is especially popular if you have guests at home. But you also can serve the salsa just as a dip, without the potatoes, or as a whole meal, with more potatoes.
Avocados are a real "classic" in the alkaline cuisine (they are rich in potassium, calcium and iron), as are the tomatoes, and potatoes contain lots of dietary fiber, minerals and trace elements.
In short, this recipe is an ideal alkaline treat!
Cook the popatoes in salt water until done, leave the skin as it contains most of the nutrients.
Skin the avocados and mash them with a fork in a bowl.
Finely dice tomatoes and onion, and put them, together with cayenne, chives and parsley, into the bowl.
Mix well and season with salt, pepper and lemon juice.
Serve with the potatoes.
Tip: the salsa is also delicious as a spread on alkaline bread!
